At Bhuban Women's Degree College,Bhuban, Dhenkanal , we are committed to maintaining a ragging-free campus where all students feel safe, respected, and supported. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under the law.

⚖️ Legal Framework

Ragging is a criminal offense as per the directives of:

• UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009
• Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant state laws

Any student found guilty of ragging shall face disciplinary action including suspension, expulsion, or legal prosecution.

🚫 What Constitutes Ragging?

Ragging includes but is not limited to:

• Verbal or physical abuse
• Mental or psychological harassment
• Forced activities or embarrassment
• Bullying based on caste, gender, region, language, etc.

• Mandatory anti-ragging undertakings from students and parents
• Awareness campaigns and counseling sessions
• Active anti-ragging committee and squads
• CCTV surveillance and zero-tolerance policy
• Display of anti-ragging posters across campus
